Sign In with a Card
All employees will be provided with an RFID card or fob to sign in and out of Centrum with. The card/fob should be placed on the Centrum logo below the screen. The device will beep once to confirm it has read the card. The screen will then confirm the employee has signed in or out. Two long beeps will confirm the employee has signed in whereas two short beeps will confirm the employee has signed out. Six very short beeps indicate an error has occurred. The screen will display the error message.
Manual Sign In
As this system is used for a fire register, it is imperative that employees keep their location status updated by signing in and out of Centrum as appropriate.
To this end, if an employee has forgotten their card they can touch on the Employees button on the home screen and sign in or out manually.
Upon clicking on the button the employee will be asked to enter the initials of their first name followed by their last name.
This will then present the employee with a list of names matching this criteria. The employee should then select their name from the list and click the Submit
button.
This will then sign the employee in or out as appropriate.
User Timeout
To prevent accidental repeated scans of a card, the system will not allow an employee to sign in or out within 60 seconds of their last scan. Should an employee try this, they will be presented with an error.
